Ejection Comes Early in Devastating Loss

DALLAS (AP) - The Dallas Stars will have to try and keep their postseason alive without their captain. Jamie Benn was ejected just 153 into Game 3 for a cross-check to the neck of Golden Knights captain Mark Stone on Tuesday night.

The Stars could be without Benn for more than just the remainder of Game 3. The NHL's Department of Player Safety is expected to review the play and could issue a suspension.

The Dallas Stars defended Benn on Tuesday after he was ejected in the first period of a devastating 4-0 loss in Game 3. The Stars trail the Golden Knights 3-0 in the Western Conference Second Round series.
