Firmware updates are essential for keeping your Bobcat 300 hotspot running smoothly and efficiently. These updates provide bug fixes, security patches, and new features that can improve your hotspot's performance. If your hotspot is showing up as inactive on the Helium Explorer, you may need to update your firmware.
How to Update Your Firmware
To update your firmware, you can either use the local web diagnostics user (WEB) or the Helium app. To use the WEB interface, you will need to log into your hotspot's IP address with the username "bobcat" and the password "miner". Once you are logged in, you can go to the "Diagnostics" tab and click on the "Update" button. If you are using the Helium app, you can go to the "Hotspots" tab, select your hotspot, and click on the "Update" button.
Recent Firmware Updates
The latest firmware update for the Bobcat 300 hotspot is OTA 10318. This update includes the following changes:
- Fixed an issue where the hotspot would show up as inactive on the Helium Explorer
- Improved the stability of the hotspot
- Added new features, such as the ability to view your hotspot's diagnostics
